I was on the road today and I was admiring a '95 Eclipse next to me. I was wondering if it would be possible to convert some '95 Eclipse headlights to a '00 Cavalier? Just looking at it, If its even possible I would think lots of patching and cutting would be required to fit them into place because the Cav headlights are taller, the Eclipse's are wider but shorter. What might not work, I would have to compare the actual cars side by side, but the front of the Eclipse might be a bit wider then the Cav. If that is the case, then fitting some Eclipse headlights in there might look awful odd. I very quickly played in photoshop to see how it might work. don't laugh, I suck at photoshop.

I know someone who does this kind of stuff and would be able to probably teach me how to do it, but I was just wondering what people think and if it is possible to do something this extreme? The photoshopped image is a little retarded because the cars where at slightly different angles and my cropping job was pretty bad on the headlight, but I think it would look really cool if it was done in RL and not by a wannabe 17-year-old-photoshopper.

its absoultely possible....anything is possible. i think there is one cav that did an eclipse headlight conversion.

i just finished my headlight conversion, and the headlights are made for a much wider car than a cav, but as long as you can custom fab, it should be no problem. the 2 hardest parts of any conversion are the mounting brackets and wiring IMO

You don't have a link to the Cav that has the conversion do you? That would be awesome to see what it actually looks like.

here is an actual cav with the eclipse conversion.

id look into the 95-99 ebay one piece headlights..they are similar in style to the eclipse ones and way less head ache to instal

there are more pics of that car somewhere but thats all i could find. he is a club acrophobia but i think he sold it not positive but it was on mautofied i think not to long ago

head light conversions done i've seen on a cavy...mazda6, eclipse, galant, miata and silvia...the eclipse look to be the easiest to do
