im so confused.im trying to do the 02 front end swap from a 98 and i have no idea how these corner bracket bolt on to the fender or where they go .i did cut the 98 fender bracket off i just dont know how these brackets go on .everythign else is done with the swap besides this part . does any one have pictures . and yes i did try searching
do u mean the bracket that looks like a "cage" behind the light?
if so it bolts to the fender and the engine encasing. theres a indent in the fender i believe to set in the bracket and put the fender lip over it. then bolt down
see down in the lower right of the picture with the bracket.....theres that black bolt directly behind it...that little tab bolts to that. then the headlights sit in those tabs paralell with the ground
and u prolly need to trim the crush back a little bit. but i did it on my 03 and it all bolted up nicely
i'm having a similar problem with the type j front.
i'm using aftermarket fenders and it seems like the part where the fender bolts to the bumper is too long. i can bolt the bumper to the fender just fine but it leaves a gap in the corner behind bother corner lights. also the part between the headlights under the hood is recessed and doesn't line up with the hood.
i just can't seem to fix this.
i need some help . one of my headlights are dim and my turn signal lights stay on and my day running light keeps blinking on my dash .are these problems happening because of the day running lights and do i have to cut the wire ? if so which wire is it in the dash
