All you have to do is find the same type of LED that is used in the mirrors, take the PCB out of the mirrors, de- solder the old LEDs and re- solder the newones on. Its pretty easy to do, your going to need a soldering iron some solder and some de- soldering ribbon to get the old solder off. Make sure you use a green or red scrubby on the contacts after you de- solder the old LEDs.

I would say its safe to assume that they use 3mm LED for there application. go to lsdiodes.com and check that out, they have info there too. I was looking inside my LED mirrors and it looks like the resistor(s) are already soldered to the PCB which is holding the LEDs in, so you shouldnt need to buy resistors.

Hey Arnjolt, How did you get the clear lense off your mirrors to get to the LEDs, does it just pop out?

You've got to take the whole mirror off. Pop off the mirror from inside, then if you've got the motorized M3s you'll have to unscrew that then you can get at the LEDs

I never actually installed them. I bought the F1 and M3 at the same time and only put on the F1. I took apart the M3 to see how hard it would be to change the LEDs and left it at that. It's still in pieces in my basement
