OKay, so I am needed something a little different for my car... something not like everyone else. I mean, I work for a car accessory store, I should look like I do, right?!!
So I ordered up some nice fenders that aren't too common here on the .org, VIS Laser fenders. Then I got my 19" x 8" wheels and realized...the'yre too wide!!
So I came up with a solution,
Ruin my Brand new fenders for the good of the world!
Guess pictures are worth a thousande words, so here's 4 grand for you all.....
And is that a guage cluster cover? WTF is that doing there?

Here's a hint Joe... Its expanding foam that hardens to be sandable.

8" rims are not to wide. what your doing i have no clue but i cant imagine that stuff holding up to any weather conditions
They are too wide... for when I go on air and need to tuck them under the fender.
And no, the foam alone won't hold up to the elements....but if used for a mold plug on carbon Fiber widebody fenders???

what is the offset on the rims? i know people running 8" wide w/ air. i think andy brooks is even running 8.5" ride w/ a 35mm offset.
^^^i think andy's are 19x8, unless its a custom axis spider set
Muahhh this is going to be fun Muahhh

Going for a kinda Braille version of H.R. Giger....so even the blind can appreciate it. :-)
LOL... nope, just thought I'd show step one in widebody construction. I'll keep a step by step log here so you can all make your own widebodies.

what will the foam do? you can PM if you dont want to reveal secrets
my paint/body shop did very similer to this. they donated a car and built it for a "grease" play. they mounted plywood fins on the side of the car and applied the foam on the side and up the fin. then they just sanded the foam and shaped it to their liking. then they applied f/g for strength. it was a geo storm and they made it look like "grease lightning" for the high school play. it was perfect. here is a picture...
i believe ryan can pull this off with no problems at all. good luck with everything ryan. i have faith in you man!
