Step one--measure your trunk lid for all the "good points" (width, bracing, rear doubler ect).
Step 2--Toodle around the junkyard untill you find something you like the shape of, measure it to make sure it fits. Sometimes you even get lucky and get the right color.
Step 3. Take home your new prize for (usually) 100 bucks or less, and stop at the beer store on your way home to spend what you saved on a couple of cases to drink while you install it.
