Trunk Cylinder Lock

Hey I have a problem, how do you get the cylinder lock off the trunk lid of a cav? I pryed the retaining clip off but the black section and lock cylinder won't separate. I didnt want to use too much force and break so I thought I should ask first.

pull up on the black piece farther down on the cylinder and just pull. thats all i've had to do.
