My main question is what kind of glue do they use to attatch the top to the back window? It's a 99 Sunfire GT conv. and there are two parts to the top that attatch to the bottom of the back window (one inside, one outside). The outside piece is coming off on my car and on my sister's car (99 Cav. Z24 conv) both pieces have come off. So a body shop is quoting her some $400 for a new piece to attatch to the window because her's shrunk supposedly. So hopefully we can save some money and just fix it ourselves. Any help would be appreciated.

on all of my convertables, the top was attatched to the glass by a heat fusing at the factory. I was never able to get new glass in one that held for anything. Just easier/better to get a new curtain.
