so i am going to swap my 2.4 to 2.2 ecotec and i have a few questions , i want to use the microtec stand alone ecm but what would i need other than that as far as wireing. do i need the inner wireing under the dash, bcm or anything else. the stock ecm would not be needed as far as fuel air etc, the trans is different which im not sure what would drive my guage cluster spedo? already got my ecotec and 2004 manual trans, going turbo any feedback would be great...

I know nothing of this microtec 9never heard of it). But if the stock ECU is used for anything, then you need to rewire the whole car to a 00+. Do some searches on the site and there is many post with info on this swap. If it was me I would do a normal Ecotec swap (using stock ECU and everything), get it running stock then do your standalone from there.
