HPT talks about how "most data-logging packages allow you to monitor and record the knock learn"
but i dont seem to be able to find such a item in the HPT scanner itself.
I would just like to know how "accurately" it is "learning" my fuel octane.
I can see the tables it uses to calculate it... But i would like to be able to monitor the actual result and see where in my octane tables i am actually running....
nevermind... i think i found it... gonna go confirm now...
nope... found where it SHOULD be... but i am wondering if maybe this is something our cars dont support....
I found there are alot of tiems and features that our cars dont do/show.
like i am mostly upset about the lack of VCM controls available on our car...
But sure would be nice to know what kinda spark maps the car is using....
If anyone knows how to display the "knock learn" for our cars, please let me know...
No, but the octane is supposable learned off of the knock sensor. Like, as if you had alot of knock, it would switch to the lower RPM. But I do not know if the car supports this.
Easiest way to find out is set up a histogram.
