I got a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am GT LD9 5 speed. Can I use the vin of a 99 sunfire or cavalier with the same engine/tranny and reflash it into my ECM? And will this effect how the BCM will work or read? As far as I know you can, and you can run stock injectors, get the diff knock sensor, and delete the EGR. And I got a 2000 Starter. Will this setup work or am I missing something?

Yeah, you can, and you don't have a BCM. If you are using HPT to do the reflash, just make sure you turn VATS off.

Can I turn the Vats off with a tech 2? And I hear a lot of issues with the instrument cluster. SES lights and tah not working. Will this setup goof up any of that?
