The Calibra is a car made by Opel available in Europe. I fell in love with them first in Gran Turismo 2 for the Playstation. They had a special edition one that just kicked some serious butt. I LOVED that car; always wanted one since....
However, this one is just awful. I don't like the color, the ridiculous rear wing, or the body kit. I think the car looked better in the "before mod" pictures. I'd even forgive the wing in that picture. However, the hood and the headlight conversion look darn good. I'll give your buddy big credit on that. The taillights are okay, not my flavor, but not too bad, either. The new gas cap, too, I'm just noticing. That was a really nice touch.
So basically, I'd say that your guy should have left the original body kit, wing, and pain color. The headlights, new hood, gas cap, and taillights (I'll be generous) were good ideas. I will give a lot of credit to the work that went into it, though. Deffinitely some hard work and sweat went into this ride.
How's about getting us some specs on it?
BTW.. Looking forward to pics of your Calibra as well.

I was gonna say @!#$ cool car until I saw the wing, that simply ruined it for my, I'd never own a car with a wing like that, plus the exhaust is too much for my tastes.

Calibra is a Opel that came out I think in 1989-90 it was based on the Opel Astra that we see today. Opel decide to stop the Calibra around in 1997. They carried from a 2.0L 115HP +/- to a Opel design Turbo Ecotec making a little over 200HP. The car was very aerodynamic as you can see and it had style.
Here is a tidbit for you guys to know. When 3rd Gen Cavalier was being designed, GM of North America used the Calibra for inspiration in its design. As you can tell in its silhouette.
Personally seeing some one putting Civic lights on this beauty is torture!

Saw a S W E E T looking Calibra at a local show here in Germany about a month ago!! It was even for sale!! Here are a few pics of it. I love the Calibra, very, very sweet car and there are several around here that are running 12s at the strip where I go!
I've always thought they look a bit like the 2nd gen Cavaliers myself?
