Well, my wife got a decent job and we've got most of our bills taken care of. Were just finishing up a few more that should be taken care of in a month or two.
My wife has been trying to get into cars with me since I had my J. She hates my 1g DSM I have now though. I'm starting to hate it, haha. So our plan is to get rid of the 1G and start looking at some other cars. I have a guy coming to look at my car Saturday. I have a 96 neon that needs clutch that I picked up for next to nothing i'm going to drive for a while.
So, down to the point. Here's some cars were thinking of. Trying to stay around 7grand or so. I'd like to pick one up for 6 but I could go a little more if it was real nice.
Mitsubishi 3000GT my wife LOVES these cars. I refuse to buy one unless its twin turbo and those get pricey. Although I may be able to find a Stealth R/T
Nissan 300zx same as the 3kGT Wont take a N/A one.
97-99 Eclipe (I found a really clean 97 GS-T burgundy with tan leather interrior pwr everything.) They only wanted 6 for it. I wish I had the money right now i'd snatch it up. I wont by another non-turbo
92+ Integra. I really want one of these. My wife likes them ok. I found a really nice LS for pretty resonable. Would like to get an LS and do a head swap on it for LS-Vtec. Could probably even find a GSR for the right price.
92-96 Prelude Si this is probably our best bet. Because we both like these a lot. They have a good motor. I know they're kinda pigs but pretty easy also to make quick.
So is there anything else someone might recommend? A J-body is not an option. Thanks for reading my long useless post.

How bout a 3rd Gen Supra, not the bubbly style but the more boxy style. My buddy has one and its quite nice, although he has some "toys" on it but they come turbo from factory. Just a suggestion.
what is a 1G DSM? And if I wanted a 7,000 dollar car I would consider a Camaro or Firebird.

for a little more money, he could get a Supra shell, an LS/LT1 with matching tranny, and have the motor installed.

I'd watch out with any of the 3000GT or stealth turbos. They can easily become a mechanical nightmare.

Yea, I heard the same. Same with the 300zx. Such a pain to work on.
Derek - A 1G dsm is a 90-94 Eclipse/Laser/Talon
I dont want an F-Body. Nothing against them but I dont like them very much.
2nd gen. boosted DSM... although the miles on them are going to be getting pretty high by now since the last year was '99.

Well, I said I wasn't interested in F-Body's. However, I went to this lot that was suppose to have a 300zx tt. They had sold it but they had a...hmmm...dont remember I wanna say 94-96 Z28 Camaro with an LT1 6-speed. Black with tinted windows, pwr windows, door locks, mirrors seats. It had the stock chrome wheels. I know that the F-bodies set low but this had to have been lowered. There was no wheel gap and it looked great. He gave me the keys and I started it up. It sounded amazing. I sat in it and instantly fell in love with it. I'm gonna go test drive it another time. I didn't have the time when I went. Unless he comes off the price a bit I wont buy it but gonna look around at more of them if I like how it drives.
He was asking 7,900 and it had 94k on it. That seemed a bit steep to me.
