Hey Borsty, congrats thats a really nice engine, i'm very familiar with. its the 350 HO as they call it right? My friends dad has this in a 66 nova. Nice amount of power.

He figures its about 275WHP.

What tranny are you running behind this?

I wouldnt run a junk ass 700r4. There weak and they bog down into overdrive. Id run a turbo 350 with a nice shift kit.

nah i like the vavle covers, the red matches my car nicely, and its a SBC to begin with so its not like a shoved a SBC where a poncho engine used to rest.

if your maro is a auto then all that is, is an electronically controlled 700r4.

and if your going off things that happened in your 86 ta theres a difference in the trannys the 700r4 was changed in i think 88 and gave modifications to make it stronger chrisper and a all around better tranny.

and ill assume it was carb'd ill have FI so if it bogs down, that would be kinda rare.

thanks for all the good comments guys, good to see theres v8 fans around here.

i would doubt a 88+ 700r4 would hold 330 hp or 380 ft lbs. check out www.700r4.com i have the stage 3 behind a mild 454 in my truck.

FYI: a 700r4 with the right rear gears will waste any turbo 350, while getting better MPG ha ha
