Anybody know what pin or wire color to hook the tach output wire to on the cluster from an 89 grand am? I'm running the computer out of a 91 GTZ and Hanez man. says white wire is tach out put. And I have a cluster out of a grand am with the 2.3 in it. Its circle track so just need the tach.
I believe there is no tach input on that cluster. IIRC, it's part of the serial data from the ECM. Most GM vehicles from the late 80's on operate this way. To make things extra irritating, they change the serial data organization with almost every vehicle.
