With all the "deals" GM is offering. My friend is possibly looking at a Pontiac G8.
Does anyone have any good info on these cars? I pretty sure its a 4 door camaro. If anyone has specs of info or where to get it that would be great.
Did they come in a manual trans?
How about aftermarket support?
Thanks in advance.

well its a nice car, very peppy in deed. not so good in the winter since they only come with summer tires. and yes they r in a completely different catagory then the camaro, they do have the auto stick though, which is fun.
They are on the same chassis as the camaro, but it's really a very different car. The gt's unfortunately only came in manual. They are really nice cars in terms of ride quality and refinement compared to normal GM fare. The GXP is the beast with the LS3 and optional six speed manual, but as mentioned they are hard to find and quite pricy (~45k IIRC). There is a decent aftermarket considering the limited production run. The biggest one is a supercharger kit the bumps the GT to around 500bhp i think.
snow tires make it very drivable in the winter, mods are a plenty and just a rotofab plus a tune and exhaust really wake em up
Keep an eye on the gas tank in them, they have had a few that split at the seem where the fuel pump is up top. Also there is a issue with the spring in the fuel cap being weak. But thats all warranty repair.

you have that wrong , they are AUTO ONLY
and they arent really on the same chassis , the camaro is alot different , they do share similarities

but they do share chassis with the camaro (or the camaro shares chassis with it since it was out first lol)
