Came across this on craiglist so I started talking to the seller....

Is this car sold yet? For $2901....is anything wrong with it.

Hi,

The car is available. Here is the car info: 61,000 miles, like new condition, no scratches, no dents, accident-free, clear title. There are no lien or loan on the car and I'm the registered owner with the title in hand. It has a clear title ready to be signed and notarized on your name.

As you probably noticed, the price is rather low: $2,900.Selling it as I have recently lost my Job. The car is in excellent condition.

I would be interested in this car but I would have to give you half of the price of the car now and half in December, I just don't have the money yet...Because of this I would be willing to pay you $3000. I live in the Chattanooga area so driving to the Atlanta area would take a little while. Out of curiosity why are you selling this car for this good price..I assume you just need the money promptly....let me know...

Alex

I have a friend who works for a delivery company, so there won't be a problem arranging for a truck to transport the car to your home address. You will have the car in front of your house in 2 to 5 days, depending on your exact location. The car will arrive with all the papers and documents required for registration and the keys. You will also have 5 days to inspect the vehicle. If, by any reason, the car is not as described, or if you find any problems with it, I will pay for the returning fees. I'm sure it won't be the case because it's a state of art vehicle inside and out.Let me know if you are still interested.

...I know right?

Your Input?

Does sound too good to be true though. However, you can get crazy deals sometimes when you catch people on their ass.

Shipping will be made by DAS (eBay prefered shipping) and the car will arrive to your place in less than 7 days. I will pay the shipping fees. It will be insured at the shipping company for the transport. All documents, including owner's manual in English, clear title and bill of sale will be provided along with the car.
The payment must be done through eBay. eBay Motors will work for us just like a third party, just that the transaction will be faster and also 100% secure for both of us. You will send them the payment, then they will let me know that the payment is OK and I can start the shipping. After the car will arrive to you and you will inspect it, you will let them know that, so they can forward the payment and complete the transaction.
If the car is not as advertised and decide not to keep it (I'm sure this will not be the case) you will ask at eBay for full reimbursement after you will return the vehicle to the expedition company. You will not be charged if you will return the vehicle. I think this is fair for both of us.

Please take into consideration that I will get paid only after you receive the car and make sure everything is as agreed.
If you agree with these terms and you have the money, send me your full name and the address where you want the car to be delivered and I will initiate the transaction with eBay. You will receive all the transaction details from them.
I will appreciate an answer as soon as possible. Also, feel free to ask me any question you may have.

Thank you,

and now what? hah

Lol thats funny, my sister inquired about an accord on craigslist for 2900.00. She asked me about it first, I smelled scam from the get go. The seller wrote her back saying he and the car are in the military and over in Scotland(im like wtf, what military bases do we have in Scotland lol)

He said he will have the car delivered to the nearest airport here in the states, we can have it for 5 days to look it over etc etc. My sister asked him for a phone number to contact him by phone. Well you guessed it, he said he doesn't have time to talk on the phone LMAO!!
