hey guys just wanted to ask any CTS owners a couple of questions about there cars... im in the process of buying a 05 CTS w/ the 2.8L V6 and 5spd auto, i test drove one that i wanted but it sold on me and found it to have decent power but nothing crazy because the car is farily heavy... my questions are how is the 2.8L on gas and does it have decent power for driving/passing on highways??? or should i not waste my time with the 2.8 and get the 3.6L(i think its 3.6?) instead? no plans for modding the car just a nice daily driver w/ some style and luxury.... also what are some problems(if any) you guys have experienced with your CTS', i hear A/C and rear diff's are fairly common problems on these cars... thanks alot guys!

I had a rental with the 3.6 in it with the auto stick, It was pretty fun. Had a lot more power than I expected to be honest. I got almost 20 mpg mostly city some highway in the 2 weeks I had it while my car was in the body shop. Best of luck but I would take one of the 3.6 for a spin. I dont think you will regret it.
I don't know what price range you're looking at, but I was looking at the CTS-V's (first gen) and there's a lot of them going for $20k or less nowadays.

Also agree with the previous post about the 2.8 being somewhat anemic in that heavy of a car
thanks guys! wish i could afford a V but theres only one for sale locally and they want $30,000 for it... i forgot to say im from canada so the V is out... i drove a 2.8L and it was alright nothing like wow or anything i just didnt get to take it on the highway today i will...
