So I have been riding my buddies 2003 Kawasaki Ninja ZX9R a little here and there and have been looking for a bike and I fell in love at first sight...

are you trying to die????
anything more than a 600 is just asking to be shovelled off the pavement

so by that logic, a 600+ HP car is just asking to loose control and crash.
maybe he is a bigger guy and needs a higher CC engine.
just because you have 1000 CC bike or a 600HP car doesn't mean that you will use it on the streets or irresponsibly.
You have obviously never rode with Phil LOL!!!!!!!!!!

you should have told me a few weeks ago.
geez.
i had a friend with an 08 750 he bought for half price working at the dealer, and then sold for like 5grand.
ohhhh..one of those drivers
what type of cruiser are you talking about that you did your MSC on?
if it was a little weak one with very little power and standard controls, then i could see where you would not like cruisers that much
but if you get your hands on one with a bit of power, and forward controls, im betting it will change your mind
I rode the zx9r and am still alive... lol
yes it was a basic cruiser... I just dont like the laid back feel, I like the lean forward feel better...
matt - come on riding with me wasn't THAT bad....

gsxr's are my fav. white w/ blue color scheme.

The 750 is a unique entry in the US - I do not believe anyone else offers that displacement. Newer fuel injected 600cc's are faster than the 80-90's carbed liter bikes, so really it's a win win. I prefer the lightweight feel of a 600 (~350lbs) and the 17000rpm that usually come with it. I need to upgrade my ninja250
Off topic for a sec - my ideal bike for looks and speed would be a lighened Honda CBR 900RR frame/plastics with a modern 600cc engine. If you've ever seen a 900RR you know they sit high and just look badass with dual headligns and "ram air" intake. Our current generation of sportbikes, while sharp, look a little too robotic for me.
Philbert I am GENUINELY worried about you on a bike, seriously because I know how you are with the sensation of speed.

thanks Matt i appreciate that... I will be honet.. I matched the speed on the bike to the fastest I've been in my cavy after 2 hrs on the bike.. sad thing is I wasn't scared
travis so awesome!

I'd be scared to match my fastest in-car speed on a bike.
That'd be damn near 200MPH.

You are a tool plain and simple. If someone has anything more than the basic boring crap you cry about it not being needed. If someone has a gun that they target shoot with, or looks a little too tactical for you, you cry about them not needing it, or that they are going to shoot up schools. If someone has a bike with more power than they need to go from 0-speed limit in a decent amount of time, you cry that it is a death trap.... here's something for you.. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. Not all of us need our objects to have built in limitations to remind us how to act, some of us CAN and DO take care of that on our own judgement.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

JL I'm concerned about a friend, not that you would know what thats like, you cant even get along with drunks at the bash without being hated.
And please don't talk about judgement after your 8-year toddler antics at the bash drawing the cops, your a @!#$ child

Travis Estep wrote:I've got a 2007 GSXR-750. It's quite possibly the greatest bike I've ever been on. I got mine brand new off the show room floor for $9K out the door. find a good dealer and you can get some good prices. The bike is incredible. The power delivery is smooth, the cornering is identical to a 600, and the factory stabilizer really gives you confidence. As far as I know, Suzuki is the only company that does include a steering damper on their bikes. Here are a few pics of mine:
Honda is by far a better bike...the rr has been bike of the yr for a while..got to be a reason! They also come with the dampener!
On another note travis i really hope you get some gloves, boots and pants or youll soon become a typical gsxr stat.
