Alright, I have always wanted a couple different vehicles for toys, and well... I have one now. BUT I am still considering the other 2, and might just get this one fixed a little bit further, sell, and persue something else... This is not a "pick my next car for me" or "i want to mod how YOU would mod" thread... I am dead set on one of these 3 cars... But equally want all 3 lol.. So here goes...
1. Keep my Mustang. Keep working at the 550-600HP Drag car that is fun to take out on a weekend or 2.
2. 91-93 MR2 Turbo. Lighten it up, suspension work, minor engine work, handling like its on rails, plenty of power, fun little car.
3. 01-06 WRX. Some motor work, nothing major, bit of suspension work. off road fun, awd, decent handling.
What do we think?

you got the mustang, stick with the mustang
youre almost at your goal, get there, and then get one of the other cars as a daily (thinkin the wrx would be best)
WRX for daily use was kinda a 2 hit deal... I planned on running it year round anyway, I just don't want a car payment on another car... If i keep the stang im sticking to $500 winter beaters lol. this is strictly a thread for the "toy" car.. I know im close to my goal on the stang... I have just wanted the other 2 so much as well that i am starting to think about them again lol.

wait it out. finish what you started with the mustang. you may look back on things and regreat not following through and finishing it.
* * BIG FOR SALE POST * *
stage 3 heads and cams, new intake mani, upping the nitrous to a wet 200 shot, and retuning are seriously ALL that are left on the final plans for the stang. other than exterior work.

Buy something to replace the Oldsmobile so I don't die in a fiery car crash after you pick me up from the airport.
wow thanks Lex. Way to contribute lol. The Olds it 100% out. not driveabe. I will be picking you up in a 2003 Grand Am GT most likely. I trust the Stang to get there and back, I just don't like the gas mileage as much as I would expect gas mileage to be out of the Grand Am.

Yes she is, not the point of this thread though lol, bitch took over my thread in a quick hurry!(not to be confused with the Indian fellow from Dell Tech support who I spoke to named Madhuri. Who contrary to the pronunciation of his name, was not that swift at fixing my problems)
And what does GAM suggest in the money saving way to do it?

A '92-'93 turbo MR2 will still cost a pretty penny if you want one in any sort of descent shape. I was shopping for them a few months ago & saw them going for what the average person would have to finance, I want to say they were $10k-$15k. Hell I took a '91 n/a out for a spin that was going for $3k needing work. For daily driving, it would be nearly useless. It's good for commuting and having a little fun, but when it comes down to it, it's not meant for much more.
If you're going to spend that kind of money & want a car that's also good for other things & will move you in the winter, then I'd say WRX in a heartbeat.
I vote finish the stang and get the scooby
*side note*
when the hell is this trip happening for Alexis and why does she get a trip to Maine and not me wheres the love????

Alexis: Dustin, you're ghey, lol. I am better. I have tits, and tits rule all.
This was never a question of buying a DD. The only car in the mix that would get DD duty is the WRX. I know my fair share of knowledge on the MR2s believe me. 2 friends have owned and i have had my hands in them lol. and i have wanted one for a long time. None of these are on a whim or spur of the moment, the stang i have, the other 2 i have thought about and wanted for a long time. I know all about MR2s littl quirks and price things. And for 10-15k you werent looking for "any kind of decent shape" that would be about 7-9k. 10-15 you are talking 300hp+ modded gen 2 motor, modded suspension, mint body and good mileage...at least i would hope so cuz for 9k i can get all that

And what does GAM suggest in the money saving way to do it?
GAM Suggests the following:
1. Pick up a cheaper hobby.
2. Talk to a banker and get started with an annuity or T-bills at a minimum. Continue investing monthly, revisit your financial plan at least semi-annually.
3. Thank GAM
4. Rinse and repeat.
5. Once you have enough to buy the car you wanted out of the interest you've accrued, you'll have realized that you can save money, and keep that money for something important like.. something that will increase in value... like... Land... or... lottery tickets.
Seriously, if you have a project car already, I don't really see why another is needed until the one you've got is completed. I'm not going to judge, but really having several projects is nice when you can get parts and work done for free, but otherwise, doing serial projects is a better idea than doing it in parallel....
Unless that is, you happen to be Jay Leno.
Well it wouldn't be having multiple projects. The stang can be buttoned up and ready to sell easily and cheaply. So if I get somethign different, the Stang would hit the road first. I might stick to my $500 beaters and the stang as the summer/nice weekend toy. Who knows...
And, Jeffie.... well, lets face it, you are a bit creepy and overbearingly goofy. And I am pretty much the coolest cat in town. End of that discussion pretty damn quick.
hehehe

i'd say finish the stang... if you're close to it being where you want it to be, finish it, enjoy it for awhile... THEN if you decide you're ready to move on, WRX buddy!

That's... really... making my head hurt... Overbearingly goofy?
And I'm the coolest cat in the hemisphere EXCEPT when Elton John is around. Then, the vote is contested.
