The shot with the shells is too good.

Impalas are good cars. This one is a little anonymous, but I like it nonetheless.

MPD makes a smokin hood for them.

HaHa i have to admit i thought the same thing.
But it's a clean car, and a clean car makes a great blank page on which to improve on.
I think...and i'm stretching here...but i think the Bonneville 5 spoke GXP wheels fit on the Pala's They are the hotness for a stock wheel, i'd look into those

Black out the front bar, put a small fleet number in the bottom right corner of the window in the back (like 80085 or something fun) and dark-tint the hell out of the windows.

.. And then dump a centr. supercharger on that bitch.

I cannot stand it that people pretend to be cops in old interceptors or even worse, a regular impala dressed that way. I'll admit that I have a set of the heavy duty steelies and caps in my shed. I didn't put them on the Monte because I didn't want to be a Nascar poser either.

I'd much rather see a sleeper than a poser.

The heay duty trailing arms are like $90/pr in the Canada from GMPP. The sway bars are priced well asweel. My Monte already had them, but I put them on another W and they tighten up a car nicely. They come with bushings too. This car could be made into a pretty decent ride right out of the GM parts bin/wrecker.

If you buy a retired cruiser, you get most of that stuff anyhow I believe.

Yes. The GMPP is the same as the heavy duty stuff for the cop cars. They haul a lot of weight in the truck.

I think you get a bigger alt. aswell and a slight raised speed limiter.

I worked at a dealer that serviced the local dept. Nobody is harder on cars than cops. I can't imagine what's left after a few years service.

ya i read about the gmpp handling kit.thought about that..but pretty much everything is on hold for a while.this is my daily for now.i neded a family car and i got it.maybe when it's paid off i'll mod we'll see.maybe little things here or there but this is my daily.gotta keep it reliable.

It pains me to see a car enthusiast relinquish his car obsession into a "Family car". At least it's not a minivan. I am impressed that your priorities are straight. There are goofs out there that buy rims over diapers.

I hope your family understands that daddy needs his new toys too. A sway bar kit can fit under the tree too. A day off to hit the wrecker on an all you can pull for 50 bucks day could yield windfalls.
