a buddy at work owns a highly modified G35, and was meeting up with some friends on their way from Cali to Texas. he snapped some pics for me.

I like that G35. That is the right look for a widebody car. I am soo tired of the the Euro touring car style stuck on box fenders.

The FX 35 is nice, but the fenders don't seem to match the body as well. I suppose the doors get in the way.

I remember what a drag it was to worry about stone chips on a road trip. There's nothing like making your car look bad, just to keep it looking good.

That G35 is gorgeous...I've been in love with those cars since they came out..Fx35's are pretty nice cars..I've driven a few of them...except when they have the nasty orange interior..it looks like a pumpkin threw up in them...lol

I thought the same thing. I'm going to guess this is a one-off fiberglass kit and this was to insure no chips over the trip?
Because the blue tape looks like the low adhesion paint and body tape and the masking tape was applied over that in strategic places to protect sensitive areas.

Kinda like ghetto style bras.

Yeah if you have ever been to a car show, people mask up the front end to protect from rock chips/debree etc. Sometimes people mask off behind the wheel well too, and also write some things on their car.
