Anyone wanna go in on it with me? I want the car, you're welcome to a bulk of the parts.

Dude that is an insane deal....
Its like a festival of W41 parts!
Good luck on the bidding, you would have no problem selling those parts on quad forum..... you'd probably make your money back on the auction.

lol i know...if i had all 3500 id just do it
hmmmm it says it ended like 4 days ago?
ahhh nice. i may have to do that. you just want the car? including the engine i assume? if so whats the split ratio?
that would depend on your input lol. The only parts I would want, is enough to get it running. Perhaps the suspension/bearings as well. I would not require the 2.4L motor which seems to be upgraded. It's a 2.4 using a 2.3 manifold..which is intruiging to say the least
if I had infinate monies I would be all over that.
somebody else on here.....

Those so naive, so hard headed, so narcissistic, that think that buy their own efforts can single handedly change the world, are always the ones that do.
imo it looks like a very cleverly advertised sh*t box
haha...you must not be familiar with these cars or the parts that are comin with it
yup just looked at my check book and, needless to say, i wont be able to go in lol
Haha chase just offered me a credit card with a HIGH limit... do i dare? haha
I cant or i def. would
haha thats a bitch...ohhh i got moneys....but i shouldn't...GAH

Also included is a spare W41 “mystery” motor. This was built by GM Hydramatic division for endurance testing of transmissions. It was built to put out 250 hp. It was taken out of service with the equivalent of about 25,000 miles on it (all in a test cell). I was told that it burned a valve. I have no other information but it is still in the crate and packaged as sent from GM.
from the looks of that motor in the crate is no "W41". just like the IDI cover says 2.4 just with a different intake manifold....hmm
other than that i'd like to get some of those parts
yeah he realizes its not a W41...however its a test dyno....which has a 2.3 manifold. It's definitely a 2.4.....why it has a 2.3 manifold is beyond me. (does this solve the argument which intake is better?)
i did some research today and almost every w41 and w40 cialis i found had a 2.4 with a 2.3 ho manifold. just some food for thought

Ok, I'm attempting to not sound like a dick when I say this.....but you're wrong hehe
They are quad 4 families...but the differences between a W41 and the 2.4 are ENORMOUS
The heads are FAR better flowing in W41 form (esp the 086 casting) the cams are a much more aggressive lift (.410 vs .345)
pre 95 2.3s do not have balance shafts, the pistons are 10:1 compression in HO and W41 engines, the water pump design is FAR better in the 2.3s There's quite a bit different. Myself, I'm a much bigger fan of the 2.3 Powerband is broader and smoother, cheaper to fix. better oiling system.
Sorry if I came across as a dick...but your source couldn't be more wrong. Off the top of my head, I believe parts shared starts and ends at the ignition module, I don't think they have a single other part in common. Granted some interchangable...but different in measure
I wish I had the money.

i think the motor is a 95 2.3 , with a 2.4 idi cover
look at the exhaust manifold , thats a 2.3 not a 2.4 , which means the head is a 2.3
Someone informed me that the 95's still had the fill tube attached to the intake manifold. I noticed the exhaust manifold was different as well.
hmm , im not sure about the oil fill/dip stick tube , but i seam to remember seeing the oil fill in the timing cover
maybe GM made a mid year change while gearing up for the 2.3 to 2.4 switch over
but it still can be a hybrid 2.3/2.4 combo
yeah i haven't messed with too many 95's to know for sure. It's def a 95+ block
Still a decent deal if you're willing to sit on parts & sell them off one by one. I think you'd make more than the guy's reserve...but too much work if you just want the car.
If only I had another garage....
I wish I had more $$. The amount of parts he has is NUTS! Not to mention a bunch are one-offs.
