That's about right as far as 2007 goes. I pretty much agree with that list. 2008 I think will provide some different results.

anyone else confused by this?

Consumer Reports wrote:"I think [the Solstice] is going to do very well for the first couple of years," said David Champion, head of Consumer Reports' auto testing, "but I think, over the long term, this is the better sports car."

but before they said that...they said this...

Consumer Reports wrote:Reliability is fair, but that's good enough to earn a recommendation.

unless the solstice/sky are that unreliable

If I'm weird and everyone else is weird, does that make me normal?

They are unproven since they've only been on the market barely a year. Hence why I said 2008 will look different. There will be alot of new cars this year on next years list.

I don't understand how anyone could choose the FIT as the best of anything. $15k, ass-ugly(inside and outside), heavy(for its class), and crap mileage(considering the crap power). Has the world forgotten what the entry-level hatch is these days? What about the old CRX? Small, light, reliable, sporty, and over 40mpg... or even the 92-95 civic... or the metro?

The FIT is the anti-thesis to its own class, how could you give that thing top honors... ARGH

Not one domestic made it? Excellent. GM and reliability don't usually belong in the same sentence anyways.

It's you. Yaris in this case is 3-door while the Fit is a 5-door, so Fit has it beat in rear seat comfort/entry. If we talk about the Yaris sedan, now it looses to the Fit in cargo space/flexibility. Then in crash test results which CR takes into consideration, the Fit beat out the Yaris.
Yaris would probably win if they brought this model from Canada.
