How do you know he rides without gear, like an idiot in flip-flops and a wife-beater?

Of course, just thinking about beating J-bodies kinda makes you wonder
A race on the street is no race at all. Too many non-race factors come into play.
Don't.

A 250cc two stoke is close to the ultimate track weapon (on short technical tracks).

What you have is a 250 4 stroke.. A bit weak down the back straight..

A 500 in the hands of the same rider should result in lower lap times. Same rider (with the same confidence) on a 600 will wipe both of them. A 1 litre bike will be beaten by a 600 on a short technical track, but any track with a desent straight and some high speed corners will see the litre bike out front.. Often by a long shot.

All things equal but the bike? The 500 will beat the 250, hands down. Similar weight, similar corner speed, more power, generally better brakes. Both bikes must have the same rubber and the same rider on the same track, on the same day, within an hour or so (same track temp. is important). Do your test that way with a lap timer and you'll find the 500 is faster. Fast in a section is not faster around the whole track. The only time that matters is complete lap time.

I ride an 03 CBR600RR. I can beat a ZX10R through tight corners, that is all and that's not enough to say my bike is faster, it's not.

It's changed a little since that picture. Shaved the rear fender and relocated turn signals to the side pods on the rear and made my own license plate bracket. Also upgraded the horn, now sounds like an old pickup truck.

Wasn't implying he rode gearless, just sounds like that attitude is going to put some scratches on his bike and only his bike if he does wear gear.

drool.... i love the R6's, especially the raven black. Just got a SV650S a few months back, hope to get a R6 next season.

yeah.. R6's seem to be quite a popular bike. thats all i see round these parts anyways. im a honda loyalist (though i bought the kawi 650R) i plan to buy a CBR600RR next season.

i hate the raven black

you need to be as visible as possible, doesnt seem very smart to get the most unnoticable color possible.

should be getting another bike in the coming months. getting a new job.

trying to find a 91+ fzr 400 or 600

My CBR600RR is black, but I try to compensate by wearing very visible leathers (high contrast too). I'm not sure it works, I get cut off all the time. Of course so does everyone else on a bike....

The 07 CBR600RR has been called best supersport ever by many reviewers. Take that R6

Let's face it, the R6, ZX6R(R), CBR600, and GSXR600 are all very close. So close most could not exploit the difference.

Except the Honda will cost less in maint. and will still be running in 20 years
