Ive had a few friends with car with hydros. They are fun for a short while and after that they kinda suck. Rams get bent. Chasis get tweaked. hydraulic hose explode, chains snap and break lots of stuff. Things break all the time. Having 10 batterys or more in a trunk is great for MPGs too haha. oh dont forget to charge them every day. As far as what you need, nobody can just tell you what you need. Its a hard planned process and every car set up is different. Air ride suspensions are cake compared to hyrdros in some aspects. Once you know how hydraulics work you can do a lot with them. But its no walk in the park. I promise. I learned a lot about them because in highschool i worked at a motorcycle shop that did snow plows in the off season. You need to do some serious research if you plan on doing this right. Not trying to turn you away from this, just being honest.

Adam knows a few things about suspension, and one of things Adam knows is, air bags are gonna be a hella lot easier.

I'd personally just throw on 20's or something and be done with it.

its not going to bounce extremely high its just going to hop about 3 inches off the ground so how could that tear it up? im not going to hop all the time i just like the look of it when they have the back down or its raised up

Doesnt need to bounce to get tweaked and messed up. And as for hopping 3 inches....that would be something you could do easily with a nice air/nitrogen set up (much cheaper too). For the money youll have in to a hydraulic setup, (close to 4Gs for a very basic setup, and have money on the side for when sh!t breaks) and time (mostly fabricating umm...everything) your gonna put into getting that "look" with hydros, it wouldnt take much more at all to get it to hop like a kangaroo.

Oh did i mention how painfull it is to ride in a car with hydros. Makes a dump truck feel like a caddy lol. As much as i hated working on my friends cars with hydros...there was nothing like pulling a huge 3 wheel. Good luck.

imo those cars should be on juice and not air. check out layitlow.com

theres a ton of those cars on there. im sure you'll get more than enough help from there. they also have a classified section too so you may be able to get some good parts cheap.

It would be more responsible to burn the few thousand dollars than sink the money into a 20 year old caddy....IMO

Im not so sure I would want to spend that much money on hydros for an 80's fleetwood. 60's fleetwood, hell yes, but not an 80's fleetwood.
