We are still getting our Challenger

I know a few day ago there was a thread talking about Daimler-benz selling Chrysler off and people thinking that we wont get the Challenger from Dodge well this was posted on the Speed channel's website today.
"Great news for muscle-car fans – Chrysler has announced that the production version of the Dodge Challenger will be unveiled at the Chicago motor show in February ‘08.

First revealed at the Detroit motor show in 2006, the bulging Challenger is part of a retro revival of American muscle cars including the Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro.

But this time round, the Challenger will actually be a Canadian muscle car – it's going to be built at Chrysler's plant in Brampton, Ontario, where the 300C and Dodge Charger are also made.

That's good news for the beleaguered Chrysler workforce – on 14 February, 13,000 job cuts were announced across Chrysler's North American operations."

So Chrysler isn't as dead as some think. I have seen this thing and it is sweet so I am looking forward to them being produced.

So... if GM were to buy Chrysler... would it be a Pontiac Challenger? Or a Saturn? Or a Chevy? Nah, can't compete with the Corvette... hmm... maybe they'd make a new division... or bring back Oldsmobile? Nah... ha ha ha...

Probably... since GM's plan is to have the Camaro resurrected, that will give that division 2 RWD v8's (potentially)

As of right now, the only RWD Pontiac car in production is the Solstice (if the GTO hasn't fully been dropped yet).

To stay with Pontiac's original "performance" image, it would be a good choice to place it under that nameplate, however for the love of pete, don't give it the stereotypical dual grille

As of right now, but the G8 is coming out soon and the GTO will be back before long.
