I'm looking to buy a newer car, preferably a 2000 or newer, has to be around a mid size, preferably with a V6.
this is what i have been considering
2000+ Grand Am coupe (SE or GT) V6/auto
98-99 Avenger 4cyl/5speed or V6/auto
2000+ Accord Coupe 4cyl/5sp or V6/auto
1998+ Cougar 4cyl/5spd or V6/5spd or auto
Other than these i dont know what to get... i would kinda prefer the V6 automatic set up, and fully loaded.
Just curious what else you guys can suggest... and for starters i dont want a grand prix...
Entertainment Defined.
how bout an alero ...same thing as a grand am but put together a tad better..can get leather, all come with 4 wheel disc and looks better imo
Lets see ...
N-Bodies are junk.
Wouldnt go near the Dodge with a stick
Accord is a nice choice
Cougars are junk
Accord is your best bet out of that list. Also the most reliable.
Also take a look at 2000+ Impalas, and what will be my Families next car, 2000+ Grand Prix GTP.
Both can be had for under 9K CND, with higher milage (100K+, which is not an issue for the GM 3x00).
Take a look at Corollas/Camrys as well.
Stay away from the Avenger. I had one before. Terrible car, not reliable at all and just all around a piece of junk.
Yea, for the love of god no N-body. You'll regret it the whole time you own the car if you do.
My N's have been nothing but good for me, the alero has about 240,000 kms on it and still no real problems (other than the brakes, N's brake rotors SUCK, get the Brembo OEM replacement rotors and ceramic pads as soon as you get it if you buy one.).
The only major issue with the 3400's is the lower intake manifold gasket.... It's a whore to get at because EVERYTHING is on top of the engine, but it's really only an issue over 150-175,000 kms.
After that, if you can find an accord for less than $9000, you'll likely be buying on with either a pile of miles on it, or one that's 10 years old.
