no problem , once you buy the 2.3 water pump youll see that it has a spline drive on it , unlike the 2.4 that has the gear for the timing chain

its just a matter of getting to it , 2.3 and 2.4 are kind a paint to get to , alot more so if you got a auto trans

if its a GTZ it'll be a manual

Personally...an hour job...tops...little tough to get to from the top due to the exhaust manifold...so just a little patience from the bottom and its not too bad...piece of cake compared to the 2.4

paul you can buy my 92 scx and get 2 w41 covers

my scx has a aluminum timing housing , yours is black so its hard to say if its a w41 , but you should be able to tell by the idle

Keep the stock exhaust manifold. It flow better than a 2.4 header. That's why on Bstuff they keep telling you not to do it.

The water pump can be done from the top. The PITA is the bottom bolt of the triangle. You can only turn it like 1/16 of a turn at a time.

You have 7 bolts to take off. 3 on the timming chain housing, 2 on the coolant pipe under the pump and 2 on the block.

The ones on the timming chain housing should be 13mm, the one for the pipe are 8mm and on the block it's 10mm if nothing as been changed.

You need to drain the coolant first.

The W41 are nice but I like better having the Lo cover with the Hot grind 2 in the engine. People think it's a normal slow POS 2.3 but the idle give them a clue that it's not stock.
