Ahh dealership rice at it's best (er..worst). So what they did on the Cobalt entry model was basically paint the mirrors, slap on some stickers on the exterior and interior of the car, added a rear spoiler and voila...it's a Rally Sport Cobalt! How much will this hot rod of an automobile go for, as much as the Cobalt SS Supercharged? Jesus man, that is as bad as the dealerships in my area offering "Xtreme" editions of the Cobalts...at least they did (half-ass) slap on body kits on some of the cars they "tuned" I feel sorry the sap who buys this or any other dealership riced vehicle thinking they are getting such a phenomenal deal.

Yea ok, except that the Natural Resources Canada Fuel Consumption only lists the Cobalt 2.2 in the manual transmission. In this ad, it clearly signifies this vehicle comes with an automatic transmission. Sounds like a very very very shady dealership.

Not to mention I don't think anyone is getting 46MPG on their cobalt (highway miles).......but that's another story.

I have also seen the Cobalt with a racing series ARCA stickers on the side. I guess the ARCA sticker made it jump to 250 HP!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, and one more thing really quick, this inflated MPG is listed at 42 for the Cobalt 2.2 with the A/T with this NRCAN bogus list.

They list the 2006 Z06 Corvette as having 34 MPG on the highway

I just listed the fine print in the article, I have nothing to do with this or how they came to get 46 miles per gallon, if they really did. Just trying to good JBO-ite and answer what I thought was a question.

Oh no no. I wasn't saying you made that up, that's why I made sure to take your name out of the quote. I'm saying what BS these figures are. Thanks for pointing the fine print out though, it gave me a chance to google it and find out what list they were pulling it from.

Both wrong, it is miles per gallon, CANADIAN gallon. Keep in mind, a US gallon is 3.78 litres; a canadian gallon is 4.5 ish litres. Bigger gallon=more gas= driving further.

Those dealerships are here in Newfoundland. I wouldn't go as far as to call them shady. but they are REALLY big on dealer rice.

A Cobalt RS is a lgical step from the retards who have brought us the Z22, Cavalier SS; Sunfire GTX, the list goes on....

Rally Cars usually sport hubcaps...

I wish I owned a dealership and made that crap up. Slapping "sport" "limited edition" etc on the side of cars. $200 for 'pinstriping' is another one of my favs as well.

That's how it is in my area at a Hyundai/Chevrolet dealership, well mostly on the Hyundai side of the dealership. $300 for pinstripping, $250 for a $50 sunroof deflector, another $400 for mudguards, $500 - $700 for a "A Touch of Class" or "FIrst Place Finish"...etc.

Actually it's not a Canadian Gallon, it would be called an Imperial Gallon,

The result is that the US gallon is 83.267% of the British gallon. In more usable figures, the British gallon is about a fifth greater than the US gallon, and the US gallon is about 5/6 of the British gallon (or a little under 7 British pints)

Gam: You're right, it's imperial gallon, but some people call it a Canadian galloin. Force of habit

For pricing we use litres, yes, but for fuel economy ratings we use either miles/imperial gallon, or litres per 100 km's; Never km/litre.

Craig: it's litres/100km...

I think the Cobalt is 12/13l/100km.
