I have a 89 suburban on which i am going to do a tranny swap. It has a 700r4 in it thats junk and i'm putting another 700 in it. The question lies in that the new one has an electrical hook up on the drivers side of the tail piece where as the one thats in it does not. What is this hook up for? do i need to hook it up in order for it to work properly? how would i wire it for the swap?any help would be great.
my 700r4 only has the TCC switch (the like plug with 4 things on it)

What are the years? More than likely its a speedo if you went from the 89 to a newer one. They make a box to convert to an electrical speedo assuming thats what it is. Try CamaroZ28.com or Thirdgen.org you'd get a better reply there due to the fact the 700R tranny is in the 3rd gen camaros. I have a T-5 Manual so i'm not too familiar with them 700 sorry.
