I sincerely hope he changed his oil soon after that as well as diff and tranny fluid cuz if he didnt hes going to wish he did. Its one thing to drive through light water another to submerge your whole hot running drivetrain in the water. Still....awesome vid!!

why would it matter to change his oil and stuff as long as it was sealed rite. The way i see it if the fluid cant get out then nohitn can get in rite?

Thanx Charles

water is a much lower density than oil, so the seals that seal in oil may not seal water out. Also there are breathers on differentials, transmissions and engines. Unless these had hoses added to move them higher there is probably water in everything.
Also the fast temperature drop from hot to cold from hitting the water will cause the engine tranny and diffs to try to suck air in to equalize pressure on the inside and the outside. so even if your breathers are addressed, the sudden vacuum due to temperature change could suck water into all oil cases. Sorry for the boring explanation, but it might save you some headache to know this if you offroad much. Check all fluids after water submersion to make sure they didnt get any water in them

Couldn't of said it any better. I would definitely take a look see underneath after driving in that.

Funny clip, I loved the nosedive.

Have a good one,
Justin

x2

That was pretty good. Driver did a whole hell of a lot better than my buddy last week!! He took his mom's Grand Cherokee out (dunno model year for sure, it's like 04 or something??) and high-centered out in the snow Stupid thing had badges saying "4x4" on the side, but the wheels were not all spinning the same, stupid Heeps hahah. After we made the kid dig himself out as much as possible, I hooked up the chains and we pulled him out w/ an old Ram Charger on 35's < the Charger was f'n awesome in the snow

Nose dive was ub3r-sw33r
