eh, i dont remember if there was a post on here. i heard about it when the GP did a 9 sec pass with a s/c/turbo setup. wonder what kinda power's going to come out of it

it's not how fast you go, it's how you get there that counts.
ZZP XP cam, 1.6 rockers, 105# springs, speedbuilt FWI, 3.3" modular pulley, TOG headers,
3" exhaust, flomatched injectors

according to the article it makes 167 hp and i think made 47mpg im looking at the set up and it looks like it utilizes a supercharger for low rpm then when the engine hits 2500rpm?? a valve switches and converts to a turbo for higher end power...a nice idea..just a reallyyyy small engine

Maybe Im just pissed, pissed that my freinds are spineless, What else would you
call abandoment some night, when you're in a fight, and they could make things right?
Spineless. I miss some of my old friends, the ones who you could count on,
bet a huge amount on, the fact that they'd always have your back... Its like a kick in
the sack, just knowing, you've got nothing to fall back on. @!#$ this, Im done.
they should do it like that STI with a A/c clutch on the charger so you can turn it on and off at will
I read about it in Popular Science.
1.4l engine, 168 hp, 177 tq, 30/48mpg rated.

Forgot to add: Europe only(of course), but It MAY come here in a few years.
And it IS like the STI, in that it has an electromagnetic clutch and a regulator valve that bypasses the blower when it isn't under power; It can't be turned on and off at will though.

Hell, the ol' 2-stroke Detroit Diesel Engines I work on have been using that since the 60's
... I always wondered why the Detroits didn't catch on more than they did(In automotive applications, I mean); Very interesting concept.

I got the money laying around for a turbo set up on my car and if this M62 supercharger swap works out i am going to get it ported and slap a turbo kit on
and see how it works
