your supercharger has arrived.
finally.
tC SUPERCHARGER ON SALE NOW!
Toyota Racing Development (TRD) and Scion announced today that a TRD supercharger for the Scion tC sports coupe will be available through dealerships beginning today. The TRD supercharger will help the stock tC's 160-horsepower engine put out up to 200 horsepower and increase maximum torque up to 13 percent. This all-new TRD supercharger is compatible with both 2005 and 2006 model year Scion tC sports coupes with manual transmissions. This centrifugal supercharger, which produces seven pounds of boost, was chosen for its compact configuration, ease of installation on the tC and smooth power delivery characteristics. The supercharger, when installed by an authorized Scion or Toyota dealer, falls under the same powertrain warranty of five years or 60,000 miles, or the balance of the new car warranty, whichever is greater. When not installed by a dealer, the supercharger is covered by a 12-month, 12,000-mile parts-only warranty. The manufacturer's suggested retail price of the TRD supercharger is $3,200, not including installation.

guess what, guys...that's standard for the TRD blowers when they come out. WELCOME TO MY WORLD. you cavalier people have NO IDEA what it's like to have such a limited selection for aftermarket parts.
and what's sad? there is ONE supercharger for my car.
well..was, till TRD decided to cancel it.
so yeah...the next time one of you cavalier people complains about your aftermarket - ESPECIALLY you third gen folks - you can kiss my patootie.

i was thinking about getting one and fabricating it to fit on my little brother sunfire. @!#$ would be tight
Not worth it. If it was like 2K installed i would in a minute, butinstalled it will cost nearly 4K, thats way too much. In all honesty, they are pretty quick little cars already
2k installed and id jump on it like a homeless guy on a losse quarter
can you get it installed from the factory?

this is, nor will ever be, a "factory" option - it's a DEALER option. i imagine this will be introduced by dealers, since they've had that option for trucks for a few years now.

why would you pay 3200 for a supercharger that doesn't fit, doesnt interfae with the pcm right, when you can just buy the gm charger and be done with it??

like I always say... spray the @!#$ out of it.... even for that price you get forged internals and direct port kit with extras.... sure beats 40 hp
This is exactly why my friend bought a Mazda 3 instead of this Tc. $3200 for 40hp is garbage. A turbo kit came out for his Mazda 3 that puts it from 170 to around 260, thats around $2800. Still less then what they want for the TC Supercharger, LOL

Red 2005 Saturn Ion-3 Coupe
its only set for 7 psi, im sure you can easily tune it for twice that and get loads more power

2.3zetec = 160hp.
2.0zetec = 150.
I have never heard of 170 stock, or A turbo kit from mazda that could do 260.
