02 jetta glx vr6 with 5spd. went for a test drive in one and it was fast, might be a step up?
any coments good or bad

I wouldn't. The VR6 sounds infinitely better and is very torquey. Of course the 1.8T can be chipped to have more torque but you still have to deal with turbo lag. THe VR6 is also a lot more refined.

no turbo lag on these nut-sized turbos. I rode in one.
