the track opens up here pretty soon and my Girlfriends mom wants to race. she has a completely stock 91 SHO and i have a 01 cavi 2.2. both 5 speed. who will win?
You want an accurate prediction on who would win a race between a 20 year old car and a cavalier, with two inexperienced drivers with 5speed transmissions?
Do you see whats wrong with that? I'm not trying to be a dick, but seriously, its a rediculous question. There are way too many variables to give an accurate answer. The sho is a more powerful car, but its 20 years old and either of you could be horrible drivers, so who knows what would happen.

They ran in the high 14's/low 15's out of the box IIRC.

Judging from my experience with numerous J's and 2 SHO's, The SHO will win. Given she is a halfway decent driver.

Sho has 220hp and 215ft/lbs with the dohc 3.2 where the 2.2 ohv comes stock with 120hp and 135 ft/lbs both rated at flywheel, even with the weight of the sho it will win unless it has the known automatic transmission slippage problem, my suggestion build your 2.2 then you can take her i built mine and im beating up on those sho's at the dragstrip that run mid 15's to high 15's and i constantly run mid 15's

Then you show up at the track with an LS1 powered F-body you borrowed from a friend LOL
thought about it because my dad has an LS1 f-body. and my buddy has a C5 Z06.

borrow a 90-92 eclipse/talon AWD, you would be down on power(210hp i believe) but AWD is better........ and you would be in the same year range.
