My first run at the track
Saturday, April 18, 2009 11:14 AM
Was in St. Thmoas last night with the sunfire and ran a pretty healthy first time. My reaction time cost me a bit, but it was my first time so go easy. I coulnd't seem to improve my time for the life of me, I ran 7 more times and I couldn't beat my first pass.
This was on 17" rims
My time is on the right side "140"

Good run! Is that just with an intake and a header? You still have the factory exhaust system?

not bad. i'm going to assume you're at a bit of an elevation since there is a spot for corrected et on the timeslip. for the record, the r.t. didn't really "cost" you anything since the time doesn't start until you move.

87 Firebird
All stock...........lol.

not sure what you mean. I don't know about the elevation.

and yes just an intake and 4-1 header. also tranny and engine mounts. the exhuast piping from the header is stock.

NICE run with just those mods. That's a decent 60' time as well for street tires...

nice runs man. i around the same times as you but running consistant 9.7's some strang reason i run better on 18's then the 16's lol dont know why. im looking forward to putting an intake and header on the car with some motor mounts. maybe my times will get faster.

How is the quality of the pacesetter header? Back about 10 years ago i bought one for my civic and it was painted black. Well the welds were garbage and the black paint was peeling off. After about a week it was starting to rust on me also.

The pacesetter cemeric coated headers are pretty good in quality, the painted ones are not worth the money. This header has been used for a year or two before me by Ryan (cav2envy). It's still holding up great.

the paint peels off any painted header in about a week i have to paint the headers in my nova every spring

Are the primary holes bigger on the header than the primary holes in the gasket? Or is getting the header for the 2.4 eco a better choice?

getting the pacesetter header for the LSJ (2.0) is the best way to go actually.

Am looking into buying a pacesetter header and am wondering what else i need other than the gasket. already asked you in PM but can i run a header with all stock exhaust parts??

But what does this mean--- LSJ Pacesetter header (1 of 2 J-Body LSJ headers made) <<< If they only made 2 then i guess i'm @!#$ out of luck
