11 second 3 speed 2.2 OHV!!!!

Yea well i hope u figured it was an 1/8!!! Ahaha.

Yea well so i went to the track my first time tonight as a spur of the moment decision. I've never been to the track and this was fun and confusing. So my first amazing time of the night was an 11.5, i lost the details cuz i did crappy. Wasn't ready cuz i didnt think the tree was gonna go off as quick as it did. Then next time i was ready. But i was a little too ready i fowled. Im not sure if my reaction time would be really good cuz i fowled but i got reaction = .4419, 60 = 2.7045, 330 =7.4537 and 1/8 = 11.4202 @61.79.
I was happy even though i fowled.

Last run, ( best run )
Reaction = 1.0398
60 = 2.6694
330 = 7.4061
1/8 = 11.3865 @ 61.57

I really have no idea what is a good time for a 3 speed 2.2 OHV, but i was happy that i improved each time and learned how to race..ahah! I think i may have been able to do better if i hadn't drove down some muddy/ dirty roads right before racing, cuz i spun a little out of the hole on the last run. I just may go back next week just cuz it was so much fun and it was only 10 bucks! But what are some good times for my car?? Anybody?

from what i remember i would be in the 10.1 to 10.2 area in the 1/8th. well i always went to a 1/4 mile track, but those are my typical 1/8th mile times. like phil said, im not sure what is good or bad for a 2.2ohv 3spd auto. im just like phil an Ecotec 5spd. yet i was stock when i ran those times. now i got intake and exhaust. no clue whatsoever what i run in either the 1/8th or 1/4mile.

Ran the 1/4 Wed. night, my best 1/8 was 11.334 @ 57.06, but was having problems with the tranny. Motor is built, but I'm running the stock 15" steelies on stock 195/65R15's aired down to 25psi. I was in 1st till just shy of the 1/8, which is too long in 1st. I need to change my final drive to 3.06:1(stock is 2.84:1) and adjust my TV cable out a little to get the tranny to shift correctly. I was having to lift off the throttle to get the tranny to shift into 2nd, which killed my times also. This was my first time running the 1/4, overall though it was great fun!

intake, 4:1 header, full 2.25" exhaust, no cat, upper and lower motor mounts, MSD ignition (doesn't really do much yet) and a built top end (details in my registry)

I still need to get a larger TB and roller rockers to finish the bolt on stuff for now... then its electronics (eManage) and some more small stuff before I boost it.

My advice is to forget about r/ts, as they are totally meaningless for a beginner. Just know that you could sit at the tree for a minute after it flashes green, and you will still run an 11 or what have you.

You have a lot of improvement left in your 60's. I know that the 3 spds are slugs, but you still should be doing better than 2.6. Rule of thumb for street tire'd fwd is <2.2 is excellent, <2.3 is satisfactory, and >2.3 is bad.

Those times are pretty good for a 2.2 with the three speed (auto i asume) my best time in the 1/8th mile is a 10.04 and that is a 2.4 twin-cam 5-speed with a AEM short ram, cat-back exhuast, and B&M short throw. I might be able to get it a little lower if I emptied out the trunk which contians tools, bowling ball, Traxxas T-Maxx, and camping equiptment.
