Newbie ABS help etc...

I'm new to J bodies and was wondering if anyone could help with these:
Every time I start my car and go to move, my brakes apply a few times and then my ABS light comes on. After that I have no ABS, which I'm fine with... For a few months before this the ABS would always kick in just a bit too early for my liking and I heard it might be because corrosion had pushed the sensor back just a fraction. Do you think I need a new sensor and is it possible to get non-ABS sensors because I just hate ABS so much?

Also I have no manual for my car, so I don't know the capacities and such. Do they make a Haynes manual for this car, I haven't seen one or could I get the owner's manual through a dealership? Sorry these are kind of dumb questions. Here's one more:

I have a small leak and it's hard to tell where it's coming from. It might be from this small reservoir with a symbol on it I don't recognize. It has an arrow pointing down into a shape like a bucket. It looks like it might be a transmission cooler but I'm not sure. I don't think it's coolant, the reservoir for that looks good. Oh wait, if anyone's read this far one more problem: My headlights and instrument lights dim for a second and then come back up at idle. My engine speed doesn't seem to change and the voltage doesn't either. Bad alternator maybe or just corroded connections?
This is my 10th car and my first American car and I have to say people bad mouth them maybe more than needed. These are pretty much the only problems I've had with it which is great considering it's a rebuild.
Thanks for any help
