pacesetter headers are crap? i don't think so.......i've put them on 3 different cars that i've owned and have had NOTHING but GOOD results. in my opinion they are a very good product for the money. i've had a cat-back too.it fitted well, looked nice, great sound, and felt a lil more oomph too.

People say that what doesn't kill you in this life
will make you stronger. I'm not sure if that is true
or not, but i do know one thing-You have to learn from
it and it has to make you better.......it has to.......

I got mine FREE and so far its a great header. Useualy the people who bitch are the ones who either did the install themselves and didn't know what they were doing. OR
used header wrap ( a HUGE no no ) and they rusted out. OR they live where they get
10 feet of snow a year and wonder why the plain stell rusted thru.

They're good headers.

I remember way back when I was looking for headers, I was reading on other sites peoples opinions on their headers and I read alot of negative feedback but I think that had to do with in the past. Now their headers are fine as long as you purchase the coated ones.

I find that a lot of ppl on here say they are ok and i am still thinking about it and what to get, the Pacesetter or DC sports. I find when ever I check for prices at shops in my area they give that look and say pacesetter is @!#$, some wont even order it cuz they only want to deal with quallity parts......but who knows, maybe they make more on say and RK header and therefore try to talk you into it rather then just order the one you want.

I have not had any problems with mine other than the fact that i didnt buy the ceramic coated header and it rusted out. Go with the ceramic coated ones, your investment will look that much nicer.

Heat destroys them. Coating the header makes it stronger and gives it a longer lasting life.

^ ^ ^ Heat doesn't so much destroy them as do the elements such as snow and the road salt they use. Uncoated headers aren't bad. Don't forget their never used to BE coated headers at all. What do you think we did back then ? We used them anyway.

I installed a pacesetter ceramic header on my '03 Ecotech last November. Installed fairly easy, everything was included and it worked fine. Only item i didn't like was the crappy paper exhaust gasget. JUNK. I went and got a new metal factory one, works fine. In the old days (yea i'm 46), no header was coated and they all were black painted which flaked off in a couple of weeks. They all rusted and after a couple of years & you had to replace them. Now with the ceramic coating, they will last many many years. I have coated headers on my '69 Rally Sport Camaro, the '03 Cav and my '93 GMC truck. I fully expect them to last 5 years or more. Ceramic coating ROCKS!! I'll never buy another header without it.
