I was just down at a junkyard and picked up a cavy trunk lid to put on my sunfire.
the only part about putting it on, is will my sunfire's keyhole/lock fit into the cavy lid?
because the cavy trunk did not come with the trunk lid for some reason

The trunk it self should bolt right on if it is a four door, and i dont; see why the key lock wouldn't fit either. They both use the same type of key, and if they are interchangable, then it should work.

well i did it because then i get the inner tails, and dont have to worry about shaving the trunk bezel on mine.
it only cost me $20 and its the same color as my car already

thats what i was thinking..
and while we're on the what i found at the junkyard subject - i also picked up a cluster while i was there, but then realized that it was a year older than my car.....will i be able to use it and work for my car?

I don't believe there were major changes between the 1998 and 1999 Sunfires, so yes, it should work. How come you need another gauge cluster?

when i put on my white gauge overlay, i pulled the needles off and screwed up my MPH, and my odometer doesnt work.
plus the brake light stays on now too.
so i asked what i should do awhile ago and was told to get a new cluster

for the key problem just swap the whole key lock piece. it's really simple.
as for the cluster, the only problem you'll have is with the digital odometer.
