getting rid of speed limiter.

Ok I have rooted around here and found nothing that tells me how to do this. I noticed one thread that seemed to have touched a nerve at some point. I want to know how to do this so that I can drag. I am kinda a newbie here so don't bite my head off please. I am not a fan of High speed driving on the freeway as I have two kids I haul around so this is not for stupid street racing purposes. I do plan on getting back into SCCA racing next summer also as I have done it with other cars. At The age of 37 I am well past the point of needing to be stupid. Hope someone can help thanks.

I respect the fact that you say that your not using it for highway driving purposes unlike others who have asked. I personally don't know how to but when you do reach the point where your car is that fast where you are reaching 108 in the 1/4 mile or on a course your maintaining that speed than someone will show you how to privately and not on the forums. People here really don't want to post and show people how to do it and then something happends and the JBO is liable if something happends.

If you have the knowledge to make your car hit 108 in a 1/4 mile chances are you should have the knowledge for the vss mod. Threads get locked when people ask how to do it. Refer to this thread: http://64.70.45.29/forums/read.php?f=1&i=279633&t=279633

Ok I read that thread and I never found that one. Man what a story. After reading all of your statements it would seem that I am nowhere ready to attempt this mod. I do have a brake upgrade kit waiting to be installed and the suspension work I have done will be redone over the winter. As for this mod I am going to leave it alone. I do NOT know enough about my car for this yet. Thank you for your time and for not yelling at me, especially after what I read. I do understand a knock upside my head was actually in order. When I am ready maybe then I will maybe attempt this until then FORGET ABOUT IT!

That's a very good idea. Theres alot you have to do to reach that point so till then, 108 is good enough.

if you cant beet them by 108 chances are your not gonna do it any way. dont be the next
cross and rip sign on the side of the road. mines turned off but i know how to respest speed cause it will kill you. in the time i've had to turned off about 6 mos now i've only
gone past where it would be hitting at twice. the first time to see if i could hit over 110
and it did so i let off the next time i was on i 70 heading to fredrick and the road ahead was empty so i got on it a little didnt leave it there long tho.

point is it may sound cool to say your car can do 140 mph but remember the road turns and there are deer and red lights and other people. just have fun getting to 108 as fast
as you can.

and be careful.

Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
