Back story for those who don't know, I blew auto tranny after my 4th dyno run, vid
Here. Lost 1st and 3nd gear after producing 328hp.
After many frustrations and wanting to give up I came to my senses and decided on a manual swap, those of you who know me know I repped the auto forever lol and refused to switch over ha. I realized my auto was eating up a lot of my power, so manual it is.
I just started tearing apart the car today.
Will do
Getrag manual swap
clean up engine bay of old wiring
Enjoy the damn thing
This will be a slow progress thread even though i have 90 percent of the manual parts, im taking my time.
Day started like this
Middle- Buttload of wires you see IS the harness
End- Old wiring that is no longer needed
Next on the list is to drain all fluids, then pull everything out the bay
Stay tuned.

Currently 3rd quickest Ecotec on the .org - 10.949 @ 131.50 MPH!!!
Also wondering when you will have the trans out and apart to see how screwed you got... The shop taking care of you in any way?
The manual will make you love it all over again. Being that more in feel with the car will make you smile from ear to ear.

I am curious what condition the auto is in myself. The good thing is the LSD in it can be reused in the Getrag!!

David, I have a suggestion that you are going to HATE! lol
Run the hotside charge pipng under the car now since you will have plenty of room. That will clean up the bay sooooo much.

Yep I can not wait to tear about the transmission to see if I can find anything with my unexperienced eyes. The guy who did my tranny was not a shop, he rebuilds them in his garage. I was referred to him by a friend, so we shall see soon enough.
Lol, Darren, thats a good idea. Looks like my hot side charge pipes will have to be re-made with 2.5", instead of 2 1/4 like pictured

I'm glad this car is staying around. It's one of my inspirations for my car. When my auto goes though I think I'll just beef it up instead of manual swap though. Good luck with it all man!

JR, that header would be nice, but damn id have to cut the T4 flange off as well. Id have 500 into it before it will even fit LOL.
