Went to the dyno yesterday and put down some OK numbers I suppose, keep in mind my car is only making 12-13psi for some reason even though I'm on a 2.8 pulley. AND my tb adaptor is of a poor design BUT works, not putting down leafy or anything but it kinda blocked a 1/4 of the airflow of the tb when installed. Pic below, Im also on a trifecta mail order tune and the A/F ratio is right at 11.2 until 6800 rpm then it goes right to 12. 220whp 234tq 254 flywheel 273 flywheel

lol yeah pretty much considering valve springs are $400 and cams are $450.
I spent $1100 for my supercharger kit, including tune and everything.
Made more sense, I got about 100whp from the supercharger.
Car is a daily also and still gets decent gas mileage for having 60# injectors.

Those are awesome numbers, you said it yourself, for $1,100 you gained 100hp you cant beat that!
Congrats i agree with above, those are great hp & tq numbers for the money and work that's been done. You can still make more power with that same pulley by bolting a bigger tb, cooling mods, exhaust work and the main thing a custom tune.

imo you should be higher. jusnbst had 249 on a bigger pulley. i would definitely have leafy redo the adapter. i bet that thing is making horible turbulance and killing make air flow. good to see another charger setup.
For a mail order tune the power is right on.

You'd be surprised how little that effects pre-blower. I weighed the pro's and cons when designing the adapter, with how much turbulence two big oddly shaped spinny things are making the trip boundary from that is of minor consequence. It cut the total machine time of a part from like 4 days to 2 hours. Most of the time saved was from setting up the 5 axis. Of course now you can go out and buy the oem adapter for like 125 bucks.

Not bad I've seen better numbers with less but still makes for a fun dd. I put down 231 w/reflash and a 3.1 back a few years ago and there's tons to improve on that. I'm sure u will get it dialed in.

I didnt have cams, motor was and still is bone stock internally. Just header, full exhaust with blower setup and P&P Tuning on a fake 2.5 bar
I am just waiting around for another GP to be able to buy the ls1 tb adapter. There is still a lot left in tuning now that I have an accurate a/f ratio to give him he can lean it out a little more and make more power. I wont go for a retune until I get meth though. I should be around jucnbst numbers if we can get the tuning down with trifecta I'm happy with 234wtq though, I can definitely feel the tq at the track the rear end squats down hard in between shifts.

I dont understand....I mean I know all motor would be more expensive. But you say the charger gave you 100hp and your now at 220 to the wheels. So before you were only at 120whp?

that is approximately what a stock ecotec dynos at. 120-125 whp.

Usually I agree with you say and look to your posts for the wealth of knowledge you have..but..
You cannot say that doesn't make a huge difference. Maybe the pic is skewing things or making it look worse then it is but it looks like the supercharger opening is greatly reduced from the way that plate sits on there. Maybe the turbulence doesn't make a big difference but wouldn't the reduced tb opening make a big difference? Like the equivalent of going from a 59mm tb to a 52mm tb? To me a smaller opening means less air in which is less power.
Hmm, good point. That still shouldn't make a huge issue, as long as you aren't choking flow at that power level it shouldn't make a difference. Though that one does look a little off from mine. Might be angle, scrapz was made st the same time and didn't seem nearly as offset.

I'm not trying to hate on it. I guess turbulence was not the exact wording I should have used buut yes it looks like your hole is off center. Causing the flow reduction. Mdld9( mike ) had already designed these so yo probably ask him on what he did compared to yours.

I am very familiar with his build. Especially since I am using it as a base for mine.
I Hit 240whp 205 lbs ft.... Cams, springs, obx header, 3.0 inch pulley pushing 10-11psi, before the cams an pulley I was at 200whp, so sounds about right. Do cams man, huge difference

But no where near that torque. If you're willing to tune for water/meth and really rely on it, there is a lot to be gained there.
