Safety Yellow Z24

my girlfriends car, just painted with rustoleum safety yellow, and clear coated with a metallic clear. still needs wetsanded and buffed and polished. future plans are to lower, powder-coat the wheels black, and get the windows tinted.

what do you think?

Im not the biggest fan of yellow but it doesnt look to bad at all.

Hate the hood and random black roof, lips, skirts and spoiler.

If you did the pillars the roof wouldnt be so bad, but doesnt look terrible.

that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra

The trunk looks a little funny, but the rest looks nice.

Would like it much more if the spoiler and lips were yellow. Black lips on a light colored car make it look lifted, and the contrasting spoiler just doesn't work. From the pics, the paint job appears decent, though.

like everything other than the random black on the hood, lips, roof and spoiler. I may be able to live with the roof if everything else was yellow... but looks good for what it is...

Lol......the front looks mean, not digging the color of the spoiler, or tails. I think some 96-99 Toyo tails would look really good on there.....I really dont' mind the lips being black......overall the car looks good ....

i used an hvlp gun with a 1.4 mm nozzle for the color and clear. the paint is "safety yellow" rustoleum oil-based quarts reduced with acetone, and ppg clear with a good bit of flake mixed in.

and i agree, toyo tails would look amazing, but i dont think my girl wants to spend that much money.. haha

also, in person it looks alot better. pictures never look as good as in person.

and once it is wetsanded and buffed and polished i will put some close up pictures.

finally, everyone please remember, this paint job only cost around $150.. and it looks damn good for how much was spent!

I like it except the spoiler and tail lights. Also I liked the idea of painting the top of the trunk black and stopping under the spoiler.

you can get rustoleum oil-based paint and acetone at walmart, lowes, etc. The clear coat is from a local automotive parts store.

Do the Z wheels like you did on your car with yellow pinstripes! I agree with the lips, I think they'd look better yellow with a black topped trunk, but it looks damn good for $150. Better than some of the other cars on the .org!
