Well after sitting on jackstands for over 6months she is finally back on the ground. I brought it to my work to do the alignment and a few more things that are much easier on the hoist (exhaust, plumbing etc.) I am already very pleased with the way it is starting to come together- although its taking longer than hoped (the joys of custom projects
)
Anyhow, on with a couple pics. Dont mind that it is fithy, i will clean it someday when i dont have other work to do
And a random engine bay shot just because

damn... how much have you spent on the entire project up to this part?? just out of curiosity??
i second and third a clear hood with paint in the sides just over the engine mount area!! would look sick!
also can we get some pics of the interior with the wheel well tubs??
as they are going together??
looks totally sick!!
GOT ECOTEC?
this picture gives me massive wood
i love it all!!!
those wheels work so nice with the car... i love it!
sooooooooooooooooooooooo sick
Only thing I'm not a fan of is the body. You went extreme with the wheels, brakes, engine, etc, but the body just doesn't have that "wow factor" to go with everything else. Just my personal opinion tho.

I dont discuss (or keep too close track) of how much i spend on it, i'm sure i would have quit a long time ago if i did. As long as it makes me happy and i can pay the bills i keep going.
There will be no clear hood. It will be driven with no hood most of the time, unless i am crossing the border or something like that. Also the motor mounts arent at the top, they are part of a custom subframe. There are pics of the wheel tubs floating around in another post, but i will try remember the camera for pics as i go.

I actually agree on the bodywork part, but being a personally funded and built car i can only go so far in one winter, so bodywork has been pushed off till next year- although it wont be anything extreme just lots of smooth front to back

Same here so I definitely understand that. Being that I pay for anything that goes into my car and do any and all work myself, I have to keep within my budget and my car is my daily driver at the moment so it makes it hard to get anything done. I'm stock piling parts for the winter tho.
i think i @!#$ my pants when i saw the first pic! and my jaw dropped to the floor to boot!
since you said you took it for an alignment, im assuming it runs? if so, you definitely need to post a video or something! you cant just tease us by showing us pics of a northstar tucked in there. but anyway, props on the work. its definitely a beast!
Check out my build thread!
you sir, are my hero.
i want to hump you and the car........? lol
