These are the first pictures of my car.
First a bit about the car. It is an 1999 cavalier z22 the motor is an 2200 with 5 speed. I have had the car for about 3 years
and have been a member here for awhile also so i thought it`s about time
let me know what you think. I do have a z24 body kit i painted it and am just waiting for the
paint to harden before i install it. I do all my own work including body work and painting i`m
way too cheap to pay someone else to do it. Let me know what you think
yeah sorry dude, Z22 is fake, dealer badging to make the car sell for more. But car looks clean none the less. nice work
yes i know there is no difference between a z22 and a normal cavalier but in my logic it has a 2200 motor and it will soon have a z body kit so hence the z22. The whole car will need to be painted soon so the z22 badging might go away then but maybe not i know it is just stickers but it seems to irritate some people so it might stay. That is just me sometimes i can be an ass like that
hey man as long as it makes u happy and u enjoy it, then that's all that matters. What are ur other plans for the car becides the Z kit?
not too much right now i`m open for suggestions

you dont seem to understand... THERE IS NO Z22 no matter how bad you want there to be.
Rollin' on question marks since 07.

an easy, good and cheap mod is to remove the side moldings, and emblems. it cleans up the look and body of the car.

The car has a Z22 badge on it from the dealer. Let it go. He can call it whatever he wants. It doesn't matter if there is no actual Z22 trim model. It has a sticker saying so, so he can call it that. Why does there always have to be arguments about the dumbest subject.
How do you even know what trim models were available in Canada? It's a base model with some upgrades and a $3000 sticker saying Z22 lol.
Now LOGIC tells me, he can call it whatever he wants. NOT, he has to be politically correct to satisfy the wants of the JBO.
Hell, he could call it Shelly for all i care.
To the OP: It looks clean! Only real advise i'll give is remove the stickers and "mud flaps" lol. Not a bad start before the Z kit.
Your cars alot like mine. My suggestion to make it look a little better you should lose the pin stripe, get your skirts on, and loose the mud flaps. Other than that nice ride
thanks guys the mudflaps are already gone since i took the pictures mike my car is alot like yours the pinstripe and the stickers will probaly go when it is painted when and if i get time

yeah but calling a car something its not or something that doesnt even exist is rice. its a base model cavalier, when you put everything on it that a z24 has, THEN you can call it a z24.
i do like the idea of calling it a z22, half z24 and the 22 cuz of the 2.2 engine... but to me its still seems like its trying to be something its not. which is rice...
example, a GT-R civic... or a v6 mustang with GT badging, its just retarded.

x2 and send me the mud flaps?
I've been trying to get a stock set for my 04.
if he puts a Z24 kit on it he can't call it a Z24 cause it doesn't have a 2.4 in it...its a base model cavalier with an overpriced sticker is all
Visit me on Cardomain
how about i call it tony after my wife`s favorite driver the #20 tony stewart (just joking) most of the time i just call it a cavalier or just another chev is it really worth arguing about i just wanted to show you guys my car . i`ve been looking at yours for awhile thanks i will post more pictures when i get the z24 kit on )

I used to see the V6 "GT" mustangs all over the place back in Bradenton, FL. My buddy used to get a lot of laughs out of them until he met one at DeSoto speedway who had slapped a twin turbo kit onto the V6
a z22 is like a RS for u americans.
I think I'm the only one that hasn't got crap for the z22 thing (my screen name used to be BoltZ22 and I had a base model with z24 bumpers, spoiler, and interior). Though I did just do my name like that as a joke...

SO EVERYTHING!
im gonna be honest, the engine size has nothing to do with the badging.... since my 1995 z24 had a 2.3l...
"I did it because I wanted to see what it would look like. You should be greatful that I even told you that it would look good. If your to dumb to use photoshop and change the color of your own car then you don't need to see it changed. I'm not going to give my work away. I'll sell the pic to you though for $15."-Adam Kalin
^^JBO is about not being that guy

Yeah, pretty sure Z28s dont have 2.8L either
and Z06 would make for a honda motor sized vette lol

just to let you know some of the other mods that have been dun are custom air intake, battery relocated to trunk, lowered, added front sway bar (didn`t have one when i got it). The interior got white face gauges my speedo reads in mph. now instead of kilometers and 2 gauge door pillar. Thats about it for now i guess thanks for the comments (about the car) as for the rest of the arguments who cares
it`s almost summer now enjoy it
Nice cavy man, nice and clean, i like it, keep up the great job
