... and so it begins..
Tuesday, November 20, 2007 10:05 PM
I've technically owned this car 5 years Oct 30, 2007... Its been a long road, so here's a short re-cap of her life..

Summer 2002 - Stock <3

Summer 2007

.........Meh, still not happy with it.... 5 yrs later, and several thousands in the hole... Its slow ( 2200 OVH every bolt on pretty much), 9 years old and showing signs of aging, not painted... what to do about this delema.....

GO BIG......

....and so it begins...

I'd like to thank Joe aka Joey Baggs (eazy) and AZ JBO for helping me track down some parts for this swap that i was having a hard time getting my hands on. Just figured some people might like to know where this has been going.

Still lacking a few critical parts for the swap, but are turning out to be the most expensive....

* Radiator - trying for Griffen GP one.
* Headlight wiring harness
* Upper motor mount
* LSJ header.

...stay tuned...

I knew that someone was going to say that....

I don't plan on this being done for next season because there is a lot of body work i plan on tackling myself in order to prep for paint along with building that motor and breaking it in before the supercharger goes on.

As for the 2200 parts, i've pretty much sold everything off it already except the header and a few gauges. However, there is only 59K miles on the motor/trans if someone wants it.

Its going to be a dirty x-mas break for me from college...

Sweet!

I saw the before pic and then the after pic and thought to myself...dang, that's come a long ways!

Then saw the M62 and Eco....HELL YES!!!

Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?

glad your going that route, thats what i did, get the eco in and everythint taken care of and buttoned up. put a few miles on her then add to it. it is just a nice boost in power switching over to the eco from the 2200 u wont regret it.

You should use the aftermarket upper mount. Also I am heading to the junk yard on saturday. how far back are you needing on the headlight harness? I will see if I can get you one. Also what year?

Glad to see you are keeping it. You won't regret that eco swap. I look forward to seeing the progress. What year did the headlight harneses change. I have a 2000 parts car. If you need the harness from I will just give it to you. Hell I can even ship it to you for free.

Yes, still need a 03 or newer headlight harness w/o fog lights. The 00-02 are missing a pin for the 194 side marker blubs. I have the toyo fenders in which i plan on running those markers off that 194 bulb circuit. He hee...

As for gauges, i am going to cheat the system at work and return them. The autometer boost i have is sitting at 1psi right now... not right and the oil pressure works but, i need $$$ for that griffen rad GP....

I got my 4 gauge pod radio bezel out of the car today with a volts meter in it.
