I started with this
Then I polished a little bit with some different sand paper grits and got this.
Then I cleared it over a bit and a few months later I ended up with a final product of this.............................................
Ding! Swap's done.
BTW waiting for an updated Sig.
HOLY COW!!! i want to know exactly what brand of paper and polished you used!!!! im going to start RIGHT NOW and wont stop till i get those same end results!!!
hahahaha
congrats on the swap!!
now polish that 2.2 eco cover
Hey! Only been in there and running a couple days.
very nice good job man i wish i had the time and money for somethin like that.
Honestly I didn't really have the time, money, or even want to do the swap....yet anyway.
I had been seeing the success PJ was having with the swap and was amazed, but thought maybe a sprayed 2200 was more in my price range and style.
I was on my way to work one morning and the engine started knocking on I-95. Five miles later the 2200 was toast. I had to pull it to put another one in anyway. Plus, My Uncle hooked me up with a '04 Cav auto donor car.
At least the front half anyway, for $250.
I had a few hang ups in the process waiting and finding parts, seeing as how I didn't expect to be doing this swap so soon. But, all in all, it really only cost me about $1300 from start to finish.
The 2200 would've been less total investment to replace, but for $250 and 30 more HP, I would've been crazy to not do the swap. Besides I've been watching guys on here spend $250 on an intake that might net 5 hp!
Now THATS an economy car.... put some little wheels on the back and just start buzzin around... lol... Good job on the swap, now just need to get ahold of another valve cover & do the same to that one

good job on the swap, looks good.
I want to share something with you - the three sentences that will get you through life. Number one, 'cover for me', Number two, 'oh, good idea, boss', Number three, 'it was like that when I got here.'
Can't wait to get my upper mount, header, STS, UDP, MSD, and CAI. Got to save up some money now, though.
Micah, still want to, but don't think it will happen. I'm gonna work on it. Might catch another one instead.
All those abbreviations you just posted confused me lol...looks good!!!!!
Getting "better built" for the '08...
I thought about that after I posted it.
I'm kind of at a loss here... how does $250 for a front clip end up turning into a $1200 bill?

2002 Sunfire -->
- Ractive steering wheel
- ASA 17" EM9 + Nexen N5000 215/45/17 (steelies for winter)
- D-Spec Lowering kit @ 1.4" (issues currently
)
- Rockford P250.1 + MTX MZS1004 + Panasonic CQ-C8313U head unit
- Barely legal tint.
I had a 2200 / 5spd. The donor happen to be a Ecotec / auto.
New parts to complete the swap helped grow that $250 to about $1200. If I would've stayed 2200, I had a LN2 waiting for $550.
Hah! Got a new Sig to go with the swap now.
