haha, here in a couple months, i'm taking out the whole a/c. the two center vents are gonna hold two guages, air/fuel and volts.
It'd be cool to keep the mesh grille you have on the tweeters, plus add another mesh grille over the perimeter of the surrounding area if there's enough clearance for angling the tweeters.
Thats pretty cool.
I wonder if it would be do-able with them perpendicular to the vents so you still get the venting, hmm....

id be coller if you could angle the speakers and still have ac come out of them
No it would have been "cooler" to leave them be!
That couldnt sounds right!
ummmmm, yea. exactly like that.
thats a slick idea

Hope you are taking out all the duct tubing. You'll need to in order to fit the gauges in (especially if you are recessing them as far back as you did the tweeters). I still have the ducts to my outer vents, just had to cut out the middle ones and block them off.

if thats what i have to do to get the guages to fit, then yea, thats what i'll do. i havent even bought the gauges yet.
very cool, i like the fact that you can angle them twords you!! thats neat!!! do think it needs cleaned up a bit, say paint the filler piece thats holding the tweeters black or something... idk, up to you.
btw those tweeters are F'ing LOUD!!!!!!! i used to have a set way back when and my god those things would scorch an ear drum from 10 feet away!! (lol, i guess it helped i had them hooked up to an amp dedicated to JUST them
)

What are you, 12?
Dude please don't bring your crap here.. .talk about the topic. If I want to describe a nice idea such as, "thats gangsta", then I will.
Oh yeah, and excuse me for having a sense of humor.
i dont really like it. maybe in person it would be better tho.
well, there installed. the hardest part of the install was running the wire through the wire loom that runs from the body of the car to the door. i just took an old cloths hanger and made a loop at one end and put the speaker wire in it and forced it on through. they sound much nicer. check this out though. i don't have power windows so whats this electrical plug for? sorry if you cant see it to good.
here is the passenger side hooked up.
Those look great, do you like how it turned out? And I have no idea what that plug is for, maybe when I pull my doors apart this spring I'll see if my no power windows/power locks doors have that too

Most likely the power mirrors, that's the same spot my passenger side plugs in.
Install looks good.

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

oh yea. they turned out nice IMO. i'm thinking tommorow i might have to redo the wiring. i have the new tweeters hooked up to the mids where the stock tweeters were. some reason, theres not alot of vocals comming out of the tweeters. so tommorow i am gonna cut out the crossover completely. that should sound much nicer.
