I think it looks pretty sweet. How many LED's did you use?

Re: New LEDS
Sunday, February 11, 2007 7:35 PM
6 leds in total 2 for each headlight and 1 on each corner

Re: New LEDS
Sunday, February 11, 2007 8:11 PM

Re: New LEDS
Sunday, February 11, 2007 8:12 PM

Re: New LEDS
Sunday, February 11, 2007 8:15 PM

Re: New LEDS
Sunday, February 11, 2007 8:29 PM
looks cool and all... but when would you ever use them? its very illegal on the street, and it doesnt look like you're going for a showcar there, so i dont understand the point.

I used to have LED's in both my headlamps and tail lamps....... about 2 years ago. I thought it looked pretty cool.

Haven't you ever sat in aparking lot with fellow tuners showing off your cool LED lights or similar "cool" thing..... not everything has to be show or race oriented, lol.

Personally i think they look cool. Good work bro.

did they replace the normal bulbs?

Re: New LEDS

my car isn't your run of the mill show car no....but not yet anyway what sets u over the point to decide weither u are a show car or not ...i am not mad i just don;t understand what is the line between a show car and not a show car is it because i don't have a bodykit...coz i think on my car thats all i am missing i am in the works of a fiberglass dash ...i have carbon fiber tails, exhaust, sounds system just got clear bumper lenses, 17" motegi mr7, and my dash right now is painted blue and white to match my colour scheme....i am keeping my eyes open for a z24 front and rear bumper i want a clean stock looking car...but have a badass looking personality..also am looking into doing eyelids on my hood in my welding class to set the car off the so called "stock" look

but anyway its a work in progress you can't build a show car over night or else EVERYONE would own one right ...anyway thx for all the support guys

i got them at walmart sorry to say i don;t have many shops in my small town and i was just looking around and found these leds in the automotive section ..they never kept blue in stock so when i saw them i had to get them and attempt this and i think it turned out great exactly what i wanted

yes they are very street legal but i don;t drive with them on

no they did no replace my stock bulbs they are still there and still 100% functional

Re: New LEDS

the line between show car and non show car is.....

stock (like yours... with prety lights and whistles) and Anthony Jones cavalier (id rahter @!#$ that, then most of ur mom's).....

there is no line, just a typical standard of being nice, and not riced out

i don't know who Anthony Jones is ....but i think my car looks nice i think it will be better when i get some new bumpers but for now the exterior is as good as i can do without doing up my engine.... these are the only pictures alot of you have seen of my car and its in it winter mode...today to clean things up i shaved the badges on the front and rear except for the bowtie on the trunk ...yah i guess my car is far from a show car but its def. different then stock i mean its all small things but the small things add up ...maybe one day i will have a show car like all of you guys but its in the works i guess you could say thanks for all the support i have learned alot from this site and will continue using it to learn and help me with future things i do to my vehicle

It's not money that dictates a show car, it's how it's built. Keep that in mind. $25,000 in bolt ons gets your a catalogue perfect car, whoopee. Years of effort and building are what get you on magazine covers.

"cool" to you might be a intake pipe, while "cool" to him might be some LED headlights.... its all about taste, but to some intakes or headers are pointless and to some bodykits/ lighting are pointless.... me I like the wow factor. Wow that thing does what? thats cool to me.... i don't own a show car or a race car, nor will my car ever be either, but its "cool" to me. And with your SS your car is cool because its a very clean very badass SS, am I right. So I guess what im saying is there is no point to anyone modding there car any one way... we just do it because in the end its "cool" to you and maybe others. Thats the point of his LED headlights in my opinion. BTW: Much love Stealth, i love the SS. Not trying to fight it out wiht ya. Just hate all the "and whats the point of this mod" replys......

Actually that looks pretty neat. Any pics to show how you actually installed them?

Take off the headlight. Drill a couple holes (3/16" works well for 5mm LEDs) in the bottom of the housing. Insert & wire LEDs. Seal.

I will define something easy what defines a show car is a car you show off. whether your taste agrees with others or the majority is of no consequence. my car is ugly it is unpainted it has five colors the head lights are not originally equiped the body kit is not complete the blah blah blah......if you don't like looking at it change the page turn off the monitor or look away see if you do that the problem is solved....I think his car is good. a show car is a car that you show of and you like whatever it is..and to add to what scorpio said if we are baseing ourselves on what other people think then there are people who this we all are stupid for hanging around putting money in to cheap cars. I frankly love it...it is my hoby and even though people may say this or that what sets me to be like you sets me apart from others and what sets me apart from you makes me like others....

mtxcav good job I like the idea I might follow with red if I ever get to that point for now it will be engine..turbo and then paint (so I don't mess up the paint with dropping the motor and all)

Re: New LEDS

thx Nemesis ... what you said is exactly how i c things who cares what others tink but if you don;t like it then look away the reason i posted this is because i hardly c it so if i hardly c it done then maybe hardly anyone else has seen it..... so i was showing people what 6 leds can do to your headlights if u have time and patients ..maybe someone was wanting to do it as well and didnt know if it would turn out very well well i am glad to show people how they turned out and try it myself...maybe it will inspire others to do this themselves if you don;t like it then look at the sections you like maybe performance...to me i don;t c the point of droping down thousands to make my car go a little bit faster...me personally if i wanted a faster car i wouldn;t have boughten a cavalier no offence but there not the easiest cars to make fast ...but then its a challenge to do and unique but .....engine performance isn;t my thing i get a beter thrill from showing my car then racing it

Htis mod is very rare in my community also, but thats because all the people are Honduh guys doing Ls/Vtec all motor swaps, and turbo kits, noone is rocking a J except those in my J group, and no-one has this mod in my crew. And Missoula MT aint big by Seattle or LA standards but its one of the biggest communitys in MT.

i live in a small town in ontario i think there is 15,000 people but alot of that is old retired people slash families not alot of people doing things to J's either .... alot do stuff to other cars i am not saying my car is the best in my town just that the headlight thing is a def. new thing for my area i am sure i have already had people in my area ask for me to do this to there cars and also offered money to do them ...so i say that sets me apart from others ...of course not the best show car in town but anyone can do this mod yes but no one has in my area and i like standing out if this was over done here i would have never attempted it i hate being like everyone else i like do stuff and trying to be unique ...even in my system i run a high end Kaption Audio setup unheard of around here but def. good product ...Candian made...i try to be unique i thought these would help out but if i was in some of ur guys neighbourhood prolly not so much but around here ITS NEW anyway enough said RULZ i love this site
